Prospective Students and Post-Docs

Our research interests span a variety of disciplines, including agronomy, ecosystem and community ecology, biogeochemistry, and invasive species. The interdisciplinary nature of our research is well suited for the participation of a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students and post-docs in the field and lab.

Students wishing to pursue advanced degrees (MS or PhD) in grassland ecology under my guidance are able to do so via the following programs:

• The Department of Agronomy is part of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Students may pursue the MS or PhD degree in Agronomy.
• The Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies allows students to pursue degrees in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development (MS), Environment and Resources (MS, PhD), and Water Resources Management (MS).
• The Agroecology Program, an interdisciplinary program housed in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, offers pursuit of the Agroecology MS.

The Jackson Lab policy is that we only accept students and post-docs whose research and tuition can be supported financially. This funding can come from grants, fellowships, or other outside sources.

Current funding opportunities for graduate students and post-docs are listed below. If none are available at this time, you still may be able to join the lab if you have secured outside funding.
